Well, few more poems for y'all. The first one is a favorite of mine, and the other two are the equivalent of doodles....little effort and a vague idea, lol. Enjoy. =D

Sitting quietly on my shelf
There is a small poppet of a girl.
Her hair is long, straight and brown,
Her glasses perch upon her nose,
Her yellow summer-dress fading in the light.
Her eyes show a quiet intelligence.
She wishes to learn, to see, to understand,
To explore, to love, and to be loved.
But she sits on my shelf instead.
I made this poppet a year ago,
In my spare time, and for fun.
She was dear to me, I cherished her,
But I grew bored, and annoyed,
And I found someone else
That I could hold dear and cherish,
And so I put my former precious on her perch
To observe, but to never see again.
I do not get rid of her though,
Nor do I put her away.
She is a reminder, a testament
To everything that I hold dear,
Because, if it weren’t for that plaything,
I would have never found what I wasn’t looking for.
I love you Sarah.

I’m just another lonely heart
Enlisted in this war to fight
For something I’ve never felt before
Something that simply feels so right
On the bloodstained battlefield
I hear screams and I hear moans
And yet I risk my life out here
Instead of heading home
I know that I could die out here
But to that, I turn my head
Because if I were to turn and run
I’d rather end up dead
I don’t claim to be a hero
But I fight for what I feel
I risk it all every day
When Love’s a battlefield

I’ll draw lines upon my glasses
And gaze up at the stars
And play the stars likes notes in song
On my old guitar
We’ll lay upon my roof awhile
Enjoying the heavenly tunes
That God herself hath weaved above
With all the stars, worlds, and moons
Everywhere I look above
A new song does appear
And I’ll play it for you happily
As long as you are here to hear

I want to find the black box
Of our world

Of everyone

EDIT: Actually, in all honesty, I've never actually heard the song by Pat. I've heard others sing it, and I've seen the lyrics, but I've never listened to the actual version of the song...so when I saw the name "Pat Benatar" I instantly thought of a guy...lol. -.-"
