| A prince was told by the his father the king that if he were to take up the throne when he came of age, he would have to pass a test. The king led the prince into a room full of flowers and said, "In this room there is but one real flower. All of the other flowers are fake, but have been disguised to look, smell, and feel like real flowers. If you find the real flower, you will become king. However, if you pick the wrong flower, you will never become king."
The king, feeling confident, thought that his son would never be able to pass the test. The prince walked through the room, examining every flower he passed, and when he reached the other end of the room, he was already sweating from the stress. He opened the window for a moment to catch a breath of fresh air, and then turned around and went directly towards a flower and picked it up.
"This, Father, is the real flower!" To the kings amazement, the prince had found the real flower among the fakes. The next day, he was crowned the king of the land.
How did he find the flower?
