So im here at St. Louis University and they seem to have blocked ports to game related things. For example i cannot get onto maple or my ventrilo server. If anyone knows how to get past this that would be great.....i would love you forever...also if u can ask people on maple for their suggestions also. The tech guy at school told me that the ports were blocked and that he would applaud whoever got past this and would say that they were godly.....so if u have any suggestions let me know.....

p.s.....i think there should be a way to connect because they were talking to gamers and saying that they should be able to play WoW if they used an eathernet cable to connect to the internet instead of wireless. i tried this for maple and it didn't work. Im guessing that there is a way around this but im just not sure what that way is yet.

You need to see if you can get Ventrilo and MS to run off a differant port. If googleing for answers doesn't work checkout the sleepywood forums. They might be able to help you with MS, cause i'm sure tons of them have had the same problem.

Edit: well i was looking at SW.net cause I expected to see a stickied thread. Infact one of the threads i seached a Mod locked the thread and said they wouldn't help him violate the agreement to use the internet with their school. I think some people don't realize alot of people in college live at school.

Ventrilo might be flexable enouth for you to change the ports it uses. (especially since it is your server)
