Pirate isn't going to come out for a while. When I say a while I mean it. Like 1-4 years. It's not goin through "balance testing". If it wasn't "balanced" why would it be in kms or those other Asian versions? Maybe translation. With Nexon's 1337 translating skills it'll be a cinch!
The real reason that Pirate job is MASSIVELY delayed is extremely simple.
This game is mostly marketed to kids that are like 10-16 or something like that. You know those years. When you didn't really know how bad life was. Thus, MapleStory has a ESRB rating of E for everyone. E for everyone games can no use weapons such as Guns. Guns are violent and if your children use them in a game that has nothing to do with real life they will turn out to be bad good for nothing thugs. So please, don't feed your cat cat-nip. If you don't care, who will? I get paid to say that stuff. No I don't. Anyway, where I was going with this was that just because of this one issue on guns we have to hold back an epic class that will change the face of MapleStory. It is pretty stupid, yet we keep playing the game and paying the coorporation that runs it.
Well, this has been Tany's two cents. If you don't want them....too bad.

It's not as simple as Copy, paste, translate important keywords and leave everything else for the players to figure out. It's getting an approval from the government or whatever agency controls these ratings and see if it can be used. What they were thinking of doing was censoring the guns. idk what they'd do. Just make you hold nothing? xD Either way, it's a wild guess for everyone right now. The only clues we have are the pirate stuff on the event update things and pirate data WITHIN THE .WZ FILES!!!!!!

| About the pirates, a nexon staff said that pirates will come out soon but it's being tested yet, and when ppl ask about the E rate and guns he said something like "i laugh everytime someone asks me that".
What i would tell him if he says that is WHY THE F*** did you censored the armory in Showa if you "laugh everytime someone asks you that"... |
