| You might want to start by memorizing the formulas (equations)...or at least understand how to use them. |

| Well that's the problem I can't remember the formulas otherwise wouldn't need help(and I lost my algebra 2 book) but right now were studying imaginary numbers and about all I know is that it is equal to -1... |

| I was taught the quadratic formula by singing it to a song. I felt so silly in class when she made us sing it, but now I can NEVER forget it. lol |

| I don't know if this is what you're asking for, but I thought I'd give it a try. The quadratic formula is x = [opposite b +/- sqroot of (b^2 - 4ac)]/2a, right? (I really wish I could write this out for you since it looks so strange typed out.) You use the quadratic formula when you are unable to factor a polynomial. A polynomial has the form ax^2+bx+c=0. I hope that seeing the polynomial written out like this will help you see which numbers you plug in where. If this isn't what you're asking for then I apologize.  I am studying to become an elementary school teacher with a math endorsement so I'll be able to teach middle school math, so I'll help out as much as I can since this is what I'll be doing in the future. :D
